OUR CHURCH
A story of deliverance in Portsmouth
Victory In Christ Church of Deliverance exists so that every person who walks through our doors can meet the living Christ and walk in lasting victory.
THE STORY
Rooted on Elm Avenue, reaching across the city
Victory In Christ Church of Deliverance is a neighbourhood church located at 2900 Elm Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23704. What began as a gathering of believers hungry for genuine deliverance has grown into a family of ministries, worship, teaching, prayer and practical service, under the leadership of Pastor Sonja D. Carraway and Prophet Sidney D. Crippen.
We are A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and that status is not paperwork to us: it is a mandate. Our pantry feeds families, our mentorship program walks with young people, and our support group helps women rise. On any given week you will find us worshipping on Sunday, studying on Tuesday, and serving in between.
OUR MISSION
To empower, educate, encourage, and equip women
to become stronger individuals, confident leaders, supportive sisters, and positive influences within their families and communities.
OUR VISION
A beacon of hope where every family finds healing and purpose.
We see a church where believers are equipped to serve, young people are mentored into destiny, and neighbours in need are met with the tangible love of Jesus.
WHAT WE VALUE

Our outreach is not an add-on; it is how we love our neighbours in Portsmouth.
